1982 GL1100- Oil in Exhaust and Coolant Leak
Hello, I'm hoping someone can help point me in the right direction of what went wrong with my bike. I was riding it the other day when I heard a pop and smoke started billowing out of my left tailpipe. The smoke cleared as I drove, but whenever I try to start the bike now, a large amount of smoke comes out of the end of the tailpipe and around the engine, but only on the left side. So oil is burning somewhere.
I noticed oil had leaked and accumulated on the carburetor (see photo); it has not not continued to leak though. I thought maybe it was a seal or gasket blown in the engine, but then the bike began leaking coolant where the radiator connects to the engine (see photo). I'm not the most mechanically inclined, so if anyone has an idea of where the best place to start troubleshooting is, I'd really appreciate it!
