Got redo it. Oil in coolant

Post by Prlwng »

Got the new gates belts and rebuilt pulleys back on bike. As burping radiator saw some drops of oil in coolant coming up. Yep, I was cussing myself again. Oh, just put new coolant in, oil change, etc.

Some good folks on here put an article on what I gotta do next. Go right back into all. Plus some more. Will try to find a new honda pump and gasket set.

Have one other other dredded question. When first starting cold it seems ok. When warmed up get some bubbles in reserve tank. Could this be the dredded headgasket?

Gosh, it was running great last fall. But then started to hear like belt squeaking. Upon disasemble left pully had some rubber on it. Left belt also had lettering about worn off. Right side not.

Those plastic cam holders are a great tool when doing belts. Just make sure you recheck t1 is in center. Getting left on engine felt like it rooled. It had. Easy to reset.

Not getting anymore in coolant. Gonna do a good flush and see how it turns out.

Also, mounted the overflow tank where it should be. Dummy me found that flow tube then stayed as it should and no bubbles.

Imageas one can see the top one is right side, other has rubber on it from belt. Wonder how long before it woulda went KABOOM.
