Brake lines 83 gl1100

Post by Tparr »

I am looking to buy new brake lines for a 1983 gl1100i. Has anyone recently had the three flexible brake lines replaced? If so where did you get the lines. Thanks Tim

I replaced mine with braided stainless lines, and it was the single best upgrade I did to my 1100.

The supplier I got mine from no longer makes them, but there are quite a few others that still make them. I have used HEL for braided lines on a different bike (PC800) and they were excellent: https://www.helperformance.com/honda-gl ... rake-lines

Thanks for responding. I did order some lines from HEL that were on their website. The page stated replacement brake lines 1983 honda gl1100. What I received was three short generic hoses, both ends had straight banjo fittings which wont work for the 83. I am wondering if anyone ordered these and received the correct parts. Customer service has yet to respond.
