Hey Everyone,
I'm working on my bike and since I removed the gas tank and the rear wheel, I decided to take a look at my pulse generator, freshly cleaned and lubed but for some reason I suspect that the vacuum advance is beginning to fail.
Once the vacuum diaphragm removed I noticed that there was gasoline in it (only the side going to the #3 carburetor).
Is it normal that gasoline went there? My gut tells me no, but I would be glad to hear your thoughts.
Also, does anyone know what does the little screw on the vacuum unit of the pulse generator. After trying to screw/unscrew, il found little to no difference on the behavior of the whole thing..
I have "ok" acceleration between 1500 to 3500 RPM on that bike and I know that a 1100 would normally have much more response at low revs.. I read from you guys that the vacuum advance tweaks from 10° to 38° the ignition so that must be it..
Thanks for your time, and drive safe !
