No fuel.
Aspy back on the road. I was just about there when yesterday while I was running it in my garage I ran out of gas. Now it won't start. If I pour gas down the intake, it will burn that. I wonder if the fuel filter sucked up dirt or the fuel pump quit. Also, is there a fuse for the pump, any ideas?

Re: No fuel.
I believe all the GL1100's had mechanical fuel pumps and mechanical petcocks, so no fuse. Open the fuel line into the pump and open the petcock to check for filter plugged up, or bad petcock. If those are OK, replace the hose on the pump. Open the fuel line into the #3 carb and crank the engine to check the pump. (kill switch active, so it won't start). Be Very careful to direct fuel discharge safely into a container. Splashing raw fuel around can be dangerous.

Re: No fuel.
Thanks for getti ng back. My bike has the electric pump. I traced the problem back to a clogged petcock. Again thanks for your reply.
