Turn Signal Blinker broken ?

Before I tear into the Turn signal switch; I thought I'd ask, How do you know when the blinker is bad?
When I turn the signal, on the front Turn indicator simply turns off, one the appropriate side. The rear ones do not illuminate at all. Any suggestions?

The turn signal switch is actually two switches in one, and performs two functions when engaged:

1. Disconnects the position light for the side that is selected (i.e. disconnects left position light so it goes out when the left turn signal goes on)
2. Connects the turn signal relay to the appropriate turn signals

It's pretty obvious that #1 is occurring. You said neither left nor right turn signals are engaging. It could be that both the left and right parts of the switch are malfunctioning, but it's more probable that the turn signal flasher (which operates both) is the culprit. I would start there.

Rambozo, Oh yea,, I have already used 2 bottles of this Blinker fluid. It tastes like vodka, but not bad with OJ.
