replacing damaged headlight brackets (don't ask) on my82 Gl1100 (naked) can anyone advise of the exact fit mm I require?

They are somewhat special compared to most UJM of the era.

The fork tubes are 39mm if you want to go with some universal clamp on brackets. But if you want the real deal, you are looking for this and it's mate.
