polishing windscreen

looking for suggestions on how to clean this scuzz from my windscreen.
don't know what the scuzz is and i don't know what the windscreen is made of as i suspect it is not oem.

Had one like that.

Used some auto paint polish compound on it. A courser one first then an extreamly fine compound. Took lots of buffing to get it good. Still not perfect but much better.

thanks. still haven't gotten around to it, but at least i should have some of that lying around.
