Top End gasket set

Post by Bombasstic »

Hi guys, I am looking to buy a Top End gasket set for my 1982 GL 1100.
The suppliers in South Africa are simply too expensive and buying an
online kit looks to be a bit of a gamble . . .
I am thinking it would be better to buy from a known, reputable supplier and get it shipped directly to me.
Any recommendations will be appreciated.
Thanks

You can't go wrong with Randakk's Cycle Shack. Not cheap, but you get what you pay for and a lot less than buying each one from Honda.

Thanks for your reply but I don't get any joy from Randakk's link.
I am now looking at other alternatives but it is very confusing.

For Honda GL 1100 D Goldwing panel 1982-1983 Athena . . .

What is a GL 1100 "D" and what is a Goldwing "panel" ????
These 2 kits look the same and look like they come from the same place but at different prices?
And also - Is Athena Italy and Athena USA the same thing?

PLEASE HELP

Athena is based in Italy, but has a USA warehouse, too
https://www.athena.eu/en-us/corporate/athena-usa

They only have one part number for a top end set for GL1100.
No idea what the bizarre wording is on those ads, maybe translation errors?
I don't know if there are counterfeit Athena products. That seems to be happening to more and more brands.

I am on the point of ordering my Top End Gasket set but I have come across a difference in two sets . . .
As per the pics Athena and 4into1 have one gasket difference. All the rest seem to be the same.
I need identification of the gaskets so I can compare with my bike - and finally place an order.

As always, help is appreciated.
