Terrible front brakes

Post by dodge »

As has been offered here before front brakes on 81 1100 suck big time. I have bled re bled, rebuilt calipers, installed new rotors. This is not my first rodeo but it is frustrating. Old master cylinder was trash couldn't rebuild have tried three after market masters and still terrible. Brake handle has to be pumped several time to get a tad of response at calipers. I have new stainless lines so expansion not the problem. I have never bled from bottom up but don't know what I need for that job, hints? Oh and when you release handle, handle goes all the way to grip, you have to pump it five or six times again to get anything out of the system. Need help or a shotgun!

Have you tried pumping it up and then leaving the handle tied to the handgrip?

Several times no change. I've done that with every master cylinder I've tried. Frustrating.
