RUNNING LIGHTS NOT WORKING

I’ve just recently picked my self up a 1981 gl1100 with the vindicator front fairing. All of my turn signals work but non of them stay lit up as running lights. Has anyone experienced this before and have any leads on what to check first?

That is normal operation for them. Back in the day there were aftermarket boxes that would make them act as running lights, but I don't think they are made anymore.
