1983 gl1100

anybody out there ever adapt a memphis batwing fairing to a wing, need info on hardware package and maybe some pictures.

I saw a gl1100 with HD style windshield (police style) not bat wing.
I asked what windshield that was , he said the sportster windshield will fit because the down tube diameter is the same.
I do not know if additional bracketry is needed.
It looked good but definitely had a HD vibe from the front.
I used a National full screen before it cracked, it looked weird to me but it worked great. It is expensive and not crack proof like the other shields by National that will not shatter or crack, but a better option than sportster style because it worked and kept the motorcycle steady at speed on the highway.
The Memphis Shield people are no help concerning fitments on naked Goldwing's.
Go measure a sportster front end and see if this will work.
I do NOT recommend a handle bar mount with only one mounting location.

I will and have come to the conclution that I will have to make my own mounting hardware and have started with some 1 inch pipe hangers that are rubber lined and 1 inch flat stock, waiting to see what rod i need when the hangers come from amazon. The fairing is from krator with a memphis 7 in. smoked wind shield 24 in top to bottom and 36 in wide

Made the brackets 1 inch flat stock not pretty but hey we'll see when the rest of the parts get here
