Rear brake master cylinder
I have a 83 goldwing 1100 Aspencade it's been sitting for years but have it running and one front caliper working question previous owner took off the rear master cylinder so I have nothing to match up to my master cylinder has a hard threaded brake line can't find any old master cylinders or new ones that will fit my bike any suggestions be appreciated and I think I can't get my left front caliper to work cause it's linked to the rear brakes?

Re: Rear brake master cylinder
Yes, the brakes are linked. I don't know of any 'cross-over' replacement master cylinder that would be a bolt on. Hopefully others will chime in with suggestions.
Another option would be to unlink the brakes, but that's another whole story...

If you search here a few folks have been using Chinese universal master cyl from Amazon. Minimal mods to make it fit, as I recall.

here is a how to for a GL1500 cylinder conversion you should unlink your brakes whatever you choose.

Yes I was thinking about just getting rid of the metal brake lines and using all rubber that way i have a lot more options cause I've yet to see another master cylinder that uses a metal line all are rubber with banjo bolt guess a 1983 is only year that did this lol it's crazy I can't even find one that is junk and needs rebuild
