I am experiencing a lilttle wobble in the front wheel/handle bar area and I am a total newb when it comes to motorcycles, so how exactly do you tighten the Triple Tree so I can cross it off the list as possible causes?
Thank you!

take off the handle bar clamp and your see the top nut..tighten away..but be careful too tight may just be hiding another issue..like bad bearings..jack up tech bike so the front wheel is off the ground..now lightly turn the bars..it shoudl be smooth if you feel a little notch as you turn = worn bearings. Or tires that are cupped or out of balance
HAD LOTS OF GOLDWING 75-83

Well ,it's kinda that easy. From the top bearing, there is a nut then a locking washer that it tab locked to a jam nut, then the upper tree and finally the top nut under the handle bar.
Just torquing down the top nut won't help if the bearing nut is loose.
I do suggest removing the top of the tripple tree and checking the bearing nuts first.
You can download the manual and proper torque sequence. This is important to get right.

Uhhhh, that source no longer exists. But if you want the manual, send me a private msg. I have to copy the CD so there will be a minimal charge, + postage if that's ok. I only have the GL1100 Manual.
