I found several on eBay right now ranging from $76 to $250
just go to eBay and do a search for "GL1200 left cover"

I know this post is old, but I was wondering if you are still making replicas? eBay is ridiculous! I think everyone lost their left covers at some point!

Re: Left Side Battery Cover Anyone???
I agree about ebay. I watched ebay for about two years for a left side cover and finally found one that I bought for $33.00 and free shipping. Most were in the $150.00 to $250.00 range but, you could get a right side for $40.00 just because the left one is the one that gets damaged. I was on the way to work and as I was stopping for a traffic light I thought I smelled something hot. I looked down to see flames coming out from the left cover. The stator wiring connector in front of the battery was bad and built up enough heat to set the plastic cover on fire. I put the fore out, which was only the cover burning, removed the rubber cover from the + battery post to isolate the burned wiring and got back to the house to get the car to go to work. I soldered the wires solid and that ended the wiring problem and drilled a hole in the front of the left cover to wire-tie it in place. Now all I have to do is have the replacement painted to match. If you haven't yet, cut out that connector and solder the three yellow wires solid (NOW!!)
Good Luck,
Russell
