Retro fit projection head light in GL1200
Has anyone tried projector in headlight on GL1200 . I would like to be able to see farther at night.

While not a projector headlamp, Wingadmin has done a review of the HID retrofit to his 1500 and he has very good things to say about it. His review is in the product reviews section. The same kit could be used for a 1200 leaving one spare bulb and ballast or perhaps the suppliers of this kit have a single bulb/ballast kit available.
An alternative used by quite a few 1200 owners is a pair of auxiliary driving lamps like the ones PIAA offer. Some of these are VERY bright.

I installed an HID kit in mine last spring and I would never go back.
it truly is 3 to 4 times brighter then the standard halogen light.
if you do go that route just make sure you get the 5000K which is the white light.
the 6000K and the 8000K are the blue light and is not near as good for your visibility.

I just went on ebay and got this kit and I will never use another its Awesome { CREE COB H4 HB2 9003 1500W 225000LM LED Headlight Kit Hi/Lo Power Bulbs 6000K }
