I own an 86 1200 aspy sei, took my windshield off, looking to replace it with a new clearer one. (all scratched up)
the one I removed measures 32 inches tall by 27.5 inches wide, the closest one I can find is 6 inches shorter, I am
wondering if I am measuring this ws incorrectly and if it should be measured with it mounted on the bike?
any and all help would be helpful. Thanks RD

Go to www.ceebaileys.com they talk about measuring Wing windshields. And other bikes. I bought one of there windshields 11 yrs ago for one of my BMWs. 4" taller than stock. Still using it.

Re: windshield size
Your lost? What are you trying to do....again? Just measured mine off bike its about 32 in. Dont remember my 84 being that tall. Havent rode yet so dont know how well ill like it. Any markings on your shield? Call ceebaileys, they make aircraft windshields, they maybe able to make one (off) taller. May cost ya.

Re: windshield size
Realize this is an old post, and link goes to right place but nothing there about bike windshields, just aircraft. I have looking for replacement windshields but it seems sellers measure differently. I have 85 limited and current shield has bolt on wings attached on either side. Anyone know what the original stock windshield total height was? I generally like to measure from bolt hole centre to top because of the minor adjustment slotted portions in the windshield.twocams wrote: ↑Wed Dec 02, 2015 1:21 pm Go to www.ceebaileys.com they talk about measuring Wing windshields. Purchased a replacement from Memphis Shades for an '85 GL1200A. It was 2" taller than stock but did not have the side extensions of the broken original.
