30 amp fuse
Fuse blew. Looks like a flat metal wrench/ dogbone.
Located right next to battery.
Any idea where I can get replacement fuse?
No Honda shops nearby, went to a Yamaha/Kawasaki shop and I was told they don't have it and don't know where I could get it.
Tried online and had no luck

Re: 30 amp fuse
if you want to keep your OEM starter solenoid, here is the fuse you need. its called a "dog bone fuse". OEM part number is 98200-53000........... and it can be found at http://www.partzilla.com/parts/search/H ... parts.html and its part # 30. or you can find them on eBay. go onto ebay and type the part number into the search box. it will bring up a whole page of them, but its cheaper at partzilla.
stuart.

Re: 30 amp fuse
Go to your local auto parts store. And buy a inline fuse holder with 30 amp fuse.
Do away with the dog bone fuse. Remove the 2 screws holding dog bone fuse and remove it and install the inline fuse in place of dog bone.

Re: 30 amp fuse
Look in the trap door you opened to get at the fuse.Honda puts a spare in there.
Unless its been used already.

Re: 30 amp fuse
Or better yet ...
go to a marine supply place ...
I Found a small guage ( 12 ? ) completely and totally waterproof fuse holder , like auctioneer shows a pic of ....
with eyelets already soldered on ...
and they might even have a 30 amp fuse .

Wow. Thanks for the responses. All are viable. I'm not mechanically inclined at all so I'll try the parts # first. Thanks again

Thanks everyone. The first one worked. Took awhile to get it, but we're up and running
Re: 30 amp fuse
I'm replacing my fuse and would like to install the inline fuse. Wondering though how would I solder the 4 wires from the dog bone fuse to this?

The reference to this does not include 4 wires.Jbone90 wrote: ↑Fri Aug 24, 2018 9:55 pmI'm replacing my fuse and would like to install the inline fuse. The dogbone fuse is behind the trap door and held in by 2 screws...That fuse is removed and the "new" blade fuseholder 2 wires are attached to the 2 screws...This effectively just replaces the OEM fuse with a waterproof 30 amp fuse that hangs outside the trap door.
