Carb synch

Post by tbeiler »

So guys, after a long time procrastinating, I finally ordered a carb synchronizer.
Forgot to take before pictures, but 2 and 4 had the same vacuum readings and and 1 and 3 had the same reading, but different from right to left.
Here is the result of the synchronizing effort.

In order dials show #2, #4, #3, #1 cylinders, with number 4 being base carb.
I thought the bike ran great before I did the synch job. Wrong, now it really runs great.
Hit the starter button and it jumps to life. Talk about immediate throttle response. Engine is much smoother at idle and at speed and accelerates quicker than before.
This was a fun project.

Amazing how much a small twist of a screw does.
