Old bike, low mileage (34K miles), and a newbee to Gl 1200. I had a Gl 1500 several years ago as 2 wheeler. Been riding HD for several years and they operate in the 2500 to 3000 RPM range for highway riding. What is the optimum RPM range for a GL 1200. I think the GL was turning about 3600 RPM at 60-65 mph. Does that sound about right

It will likely turn a bit higher than that for highway speeds. The four-cylinder wings need a bit of RPM in order to get into their torque curve.
