battery acid????

p.o had a leaking battery I'm guessing the exhaust just beneath that side cover has got green stain marks I want to clean it off but don't want to scratch the exhaust assming it hasn't taken the finish off already thanks

I would try a box of baking soda and scrub brush. Cheap at grocery store. It is used to neutralize the acid. If that dont work ( or does) use some stainless cleaner. But I think you're to late. :shock:

I think you are right .... pretty common on GL1200s.
