Does the modulator come with directions?
I have a 1986 Honda Aspencade. Any problems in putting it in this model?

I had one on my GL1100, so I wouldn't think so.

Evidently you have to wire in the modulator beneath the seat. How do you take the seat off to get to the wires?

there is a bolt on either side of the seat, they are situated on the frame, just beside the saddlebag lids.

the wiring for the brake lights comes out of a center point, around about the middle of the fender where the seat was. from there its pretty easy to trace the wires to the trunk.

good luck

Here's what happened.
I called Signal Dynamics and "Mike" was very helpful. He suggested putting a 330 ohm resistor from the Red wire and the Left/Right wires going to the brake. That didn't work.
I called him again and he suggested that I put the resistor between the capped off Left brake wire and one of the brake wires coming from the modulator. I chose the Left one and that worked. I let him know. He said Honda was doing weird things in the mid 1980's. Thinks they have returned to normal now.
Anyway, it works great now.
