head marking

Post by 5str48 »

Is there a mark of some kind that indicates the left head from the right? Does it make a difference if the heads are not put back on as they came off?

On the gl 1200 both heads are identical and will fit either side ( identical part numbers ), how ever you should use a metal stamp and mark R on the right head and L on left head, and install them back on the side they were removed from , you really should buy a good shop book , you will need it sooner or later , some good reading if nothing else . Good luck take your time. geraldm.

Just add the obvious that the cams would have to be swapped.
