1983 gl1100 interstate bike changed to a 1985 gl1200 motor

I had i piston wall blow thru in my gl1100 and i swapped the motor out for a gl1200 1985, i got it in and hooked up, and cant get it running. I used the coils from the gl1100 and changed the spark plugs out. I get fuel and the motor rotates when i try, but won't start or even sound like its gonna try. The 1100 didn't have breaker points in the left head but it had a pulse generator i think on the rear of the motor with the pig tail out. I wired the pigtail to the points and still nothing. I could use any help or ideas anyone might have. I been using this site to fix my gl1100 goldwing for about 4 years. This has been the only thing i cant find.

No points on 1200 engine , the pulse generators there are two are behind the timing belt cover.

Yeah i think i got it figured out, its not a 1200 like i was told. It was a 1000 and i just need to get the coil and wire it in, then i should be back on 2 wheels. Thanks for the help
