Float bowl question

Post by Sparky4017 »

On my 84 Aspencade the left rear float bowl is leaking not when running but sitting it will empty the bowl over night. I haven't pinpointed the leak but I think it's coming from the brass drain screw that's what is wet. Wipe the bowl down go ride for a hour or so dry when you park it but wet in the morning.
My question is can you remove the bowl without pulling them all the brass drain screw is chipped at the screw driver slot and can't get it out. Thoughts 8-)

I dont think the bowl will clear the floats. You can if im not mistookin just move the whole bunch out without removing them from the bike. Just to clear the floats when the bowl is dropped. Think I would try needle nose pliers or other on the screw.first.
