Tighten sloppy/loose Mirors

Post by Andoron »

Adjusting mirrors all the time while riding?

Here is a quick way to fix those mirrors that won't stay where they are put.

Pull back the flex tube exposing ball and socket of mirror.

Push mirror as far forwards as possible.

Use a small Phillups head screw driver to pound dimples in the ball.

The amount depends on how loose the ball is in he socket.

This increases the size of the ball and tightens the fit again.

Put the flex tube back in place and you should now have a tight mirror.

If this does not work the socket is too damaged or worn.

Quick and easy!
