Like to put a 84 gl1200 in a 83 gl1100 frame

Need Help i know that there are a few changes in wiring on gl 1200 but like to know what i have to change to make 1200 run in a 1100 frame and wire harness my 1200 wire harness got chewed up but have all the boxes Please help HATE BEING WITH OUT A BIKE

Electric fuel pump wiring, output shaft (unless you also change to the 1200 swingarm and drive shaft) and convert the bike to a hydraulic clutch or convert the engine to a clutch lever.

I'm not sure about the ignition because I used a C5 ignition when I did it, so I didn't need to worry about the ecm. Some have used the 1100 carbs, I went with a single carb setup. The 1200 xarbs on a 1200 motor in an 1100 feame are a TIGHT fit. The stock airbox and filter wkll not work.

is that about all I'm looking at problem wise with my 1984 12 engine in a 82 11 frame? Threw a valve into piston 2 and got the 12 engine for 60 bucks. Turns over and everything but the frame on the bike was bad. Guy said it ran fine. Just wanted to know if I should bring all the wiring with it or maybe I could even make it work without the other bike.

You will need to swap the ignition unit on the back of the engine or wire in the 1200 ignition module otherwise all the electrical will work except the fuel pump as mentioned.

where can I find a wiring diagram to find where to put the fuel pump into? I've been looking around for one and can't find it.

You will need to wire it in from scratch. I used the black/white wire from the coil as a trigger wire to a new relay that I installed and wired the rest of the relay as needed and then ran wires out to the fuel pump as needed.

Does this diagram also match a 1985 aspy? Lol the guy at work I got the motor off corrected me. Thought it was an 84 sorry for that. Just wanted to make sure before I dive into it.

As far as the fuel pump is concerned, yes, but not much more.

If it is an 85 you will have to use the ignition control unit off the 1200.

I have the ignition box. is there a diagram for the 85 aspencade wiring?
