The carburetor models are very much all the same. One thing I found,my 85 had a smaller gas tank shut off valve. Than the 86 gas tank I replaced it with. Tank fit fine just the shut off valve outlet needed a bigger hose. :o If you buy things for the 84-85 Bikes 99.9% of everything will fit. And if you buy for 84-87 carburetor bikes 99% of everything will it.
Now cause you blokes drive on the other side of the road your parts maybe a little different. Check your UK part #s agents the US part #s to make sure they are the same.

Hi julimike sorry for not getting back sooner.but I've been redecorating the house...the whole house. there's no point in making things simple for yourself by only doing one room when you can make it more difficult for yourself by doing the whole lot at the one time lol.i ordered up all the bits I need & have received most of them to date.so I'm hoping Stevie from SM motorcycle's in Newtownards can get the parts fitted in the next 3-4 weeks fingers crossed.thank you it's very nice of you'se to ask .I'll post when I get the work completed & let you know.thank you again hope all is going well for you.

We change the slow jets #35 to #40 (or you can drill out the #35 using a #77 drill bit) and use either a #105 or #108 to fix the slow speed hesitation. Honda's service bulletin also changed the needles and slide springs ( we don't ) and they run great. Just make sure you get all the little passage ways cleaned.

Hi Julie &mike..just to let you know the big girl is on the road (by big girl I mean my 84wing) work completed all taxed, insured & MOT'd.she's beautiful to ride just gliding along enjoying ourselves.sorry took so long getting back to you'se had a few wee problems with some parts along the way & weather had been a factor as well, but it's improving & if we could only export alot of the rain we'd be on a winner lol. Thank you'se & everyone else for all the help.Take care & keep safe y'al Gerry & Milo 😀
