The effects of alcohol in gas

Alcohol is not good for the rubber parts on the insides of carbs. I found an article on this and it suggested to add 1 ounce of MMO oil ( Marvel Mystery oil) to every two and a half gallons of gas. It will help keep the orings lubed inside the carbs and also keep the inside of the gas tank from ruslting. I have been doing this since I bought my 84 goldwing standard three years ago. Carbs are fine, tune (sync) them once a year.
