Ladies & gentlemen, I am fixing up a 1200 for a new friend and we have a few electrical gremlins to fix. I have copies of scanned service manuals which where great for all the mechanical work (new timing belts, fork seals, etc) but the wiring diagrams are all incomplete and of no use to find the issues. Does anyone know where I can get a copy of a complete wiring diagram (either a free download or by purchasing it)? Half the rear lights don’t come on, and one tail light is permenantly on!! Have checked all the fuses and will look at the relays soon, but really need a wiring diagram.

The Clymer service manual has colour schematics, and the OEM electrical troubleshooting manual is good as well. PM me and I will send via wetransfer.

The problem with a 30 yo machine is thats a lot of time for PO's to add stuff or modify wires .
Even a good wiring diagram from the Clymer might not help
Quire often you have to actually trace wires by running a fingertip along the entire wire from stop light up to the switch .
When I got mine , the entire 5 into 4 circuit for the trailer wasall wired in black : Ground, hot , turn .. all black
.....and a left flash activated the trailer Right flash , too....
Good grief . Took several Saturdays to sort it all out .... one circuit at a time.
An electrical friend offered to loan me something like this , for 12 volts :

Pricey , but it might prevent you from going insane .
I managed to sort mine out by slowly tracing the wires and pulling apart the taped harness in several places ... but a " Voltage " injector would certainly help .

Hi Dave, I agree, this one has a lot of added extras, but I mainly need the diagram to know what color wire goes where and what the signal is, I can sort it out by tracing each wire, but it will be easier with a wiring diagram, also I want to know which circuits are operated directly by a switch and which circuits have relays between the bulbs and the switch!! I can definitely trace the wires as you stated, but it would be much easier with a wiring diagram, that's why I am asking. I will get it sorted one way or the other, just trying to make my life easy!!
