Hazard flasher question

Hi,have not been on here in a while but need to know about this,yesterday I fired the bike up and was checking all lights ect,noticed that the when I turn on the hazard flashers the radio and clock lights dim when they are on,when I turn them off it goes away and it doesn't do this when I turn the blinkers on,any ideas,thanks.

Was the bike running when you did this? And at what RPM was the engine?

Running the flashers takes twice as much power as the turn signals, because it's twice as many bulbs. If your battery is low, you may see dimming of this sort.

It was doing it while running at about 800 to 850 rpms,it also does it when I have it on with the engine not running,the battery was a little low so I had it on the trickle charger for most of the day yesterday but it still did it but only with the hazards on,does not do it with the regular turn signals.

At idle or only running battery, you have the same condition, there isn't enough reserve charge to keep from dimming the system. Try your test again while holding rpm around 2k (or more). This rpm should provide enough juice to the system, unless your battery isn't good or the charging system doesn't output properly.

If you notice issues you will probably need to get out the volt meter

Sounds like a bad ground somewhere or maybe a dirty flasher switch. Check all your turn bulbs and make sure someone has not replaced one with the wrong type of bulb, causing feedback through the system.
