Ok, couple of questions.
My Aspy has what looks like more than one set of wires hooked to the accessory screws. It has a CB and it has the wires for trailer lights (and a hitch, I assume one of the PO's pulled a trailer). Does the CB run off the accessory leads? Do the trailer lights run off of them as well? There is a 15A fuse in the accessory socket, and I think it's only supposed to run 5A, right?
I don't use the CB and I don't have a trailer. IF that's what those wires are for, I'd like to just unhook them so I can use the leads for an outlet to charge my phone and run the GPS and XM radio... do you think that would be okay?
Also it has the add-on chrome pimp light bar with all the pimp lights in the back (sorry, I don't know the technical name)... do those run off the accessory lines as well?
Thanks for any and all information, and I hope everyone had a fat and happy Thanksgiving!

Accessory fuse should be 5 amp from the factory.
To answer most of your other questions, you will need to trace the wires from the fuse box to determine exactly where they come from. It's hard to know exactly where (or why) the PO may have ran wires to. The same goes for the pimp lights. Usually those are wired directly to the parking light circuit, but one never knows for sure until you trace the wires to see for yourself.

Thanks Brian, I kinda figured I'd have to do some tracing. ugh. I noticed the pimp lights have a toggle switch on the left side of the fairing, but they could still go either way I guess. I've noticed that the lights dim when I slow down and hit the brakes, and I'm wondering if there is just too much stuff running and/or maybe a bit of a short somewhere... especially when I noticed that 15A fuse...

Re: Fusebox accessory hookup?
the aux screws are normally 5amp but can get changed to 15amp if an alternator kit has been installed. if the cb is an OEM it would normally have its own power source under the left compartment, however if its another then it probably is powered from the aux screws.
while the light could be powered from the aux screws they are likely powered from the rear lights.
tracing the wires unfortunately will be the only way to find out for sure
good luck

Re: Fusebox accessory hookup?
Well, turns out 2 of the wires were for the pimp lights. There was one other wire that had an in-line fuse, I have no idea what it goes to, so I unhooked it and everything still worked... I'm guessing trailer lights? Anyway, I went ahead and got a $10 accessory outlet that has one lighter-type outlet (for my XM radio), and 2 USB ports (I'll use one for my TomTom GPS and the other one if I need to charge my phone or intercoms). I went ahead and pulled the 15 amp fuse and replaced with a 5 amp and so far it has held. I have plenty of extra fuses now too, just in case. Thanks for all the input!
PS: With the pimp lights, I have a total of 28 taillights... what a hoot! My wife says I look like a semi from behind. Visibility is cool!
