1200 standard tachometer

1200 standard tachometer
The tacho on my standard 1200E sticks or jumps all over the place. Any ideas as to rectifying this would be appreciated.

That’s the needle sticking! The tacho stays put.

Only thing I've heard of is people disassemble the gauge and rebuild/lubricate the insides.
