Hi,
Sorry, newbie here. Picking up a project tomorrow. It has no carbs (and probably lots of other fun stuff to deal with) but our local breaker has fished a set out, that are marked for a GL1200 and bear the part code hmmg9-af. Can anyone confirm as to if the carbs are the same across all 1984 1200 models?
I have downloaded the parts PDF but that part number isn't mentioned as I think it's only the carb chassis/cases and not representing the whole thing.
Thanks in advance, have tired searching the forum BTW.

That looks like a locally-madeup number: hm is for Honda Motors, MG9 is the GL1200 model code, and no telling about the last two characters. Probably his own ID for that set.
That said, there were differences in the calibration and vacuum hose routing between years, but carbs from all four years will bolt up and work, if they're all complete. In the States, we got one type with California calibrations and another for all-others. You probably didn't get two types in Europe.

Thanks Shadow, appreciate the advice. Great to know they will all fit. Will keep in mind what you say re. two models in the US.
Cheers.
