Phone charger blowing the main fuse

Post by jtmcnees »

Okay I am having a problem with the charging port on my 1987 goldwing interstate 1200i. I need to get a solution. I was thinking about wiring it directly to the battery with an in-line fuse and a power switch. Any suggestions?

Sure.Just keep the fuse close to the battery connections. If it's a phone charger,a 5 amp fuse should be enough.Dont go over a 10 amp and a #12 with is preferred.
