1987 1200 Interstate Trouble Code
I recently bought a used 87 1200 and spent about 2 months changing out bearings and shocks and just started riding it yesterday. Today what appears to be the trouble light in the control console came on. It is on the lower right of the panel and is 2 small squares that normally are not on and you don't notice them. A couple of times today the lights came on. Both times it was while going about 40MPH and when I slowed down the lights went out. You can't see the square in the picture attached but can anybody tell me what the lights mean?

After 3 hours searching I believe I have found the answer. The indicator is an overdrive indicator.

Well you'll know for sure if the light switches on when you shift to fifth gear, and turns off when you shift down to fourth.
