Bringing an oldie back to life

Hi folks, first post here. I brought home an '84 gl1200 that I got from my brother, who got it from his father in law, the original owner. The bike has always been stored inside. There are 23,400 miles on it. The original owner installed the faring and luggage after purchasing the bike new.
The bike has been sitting for about 2 years. Today I went to drain the gas and found that the gas cap was missing and all of the gas had evaporated. I'm wondering if it would have evaporated from the carbs as well? If so, what then, fresh fuel and Seafoam?

It is a good place to start. Depending on the conditions of the floats and float valves you may get no gas in the carbs, too much gas, or a functioning carb. Tap each of the float bowls before filling the tank with gas to help loosen the floats. Worse case you will have to clean the carbs.
