ignition switch

my ignition switch is not getting the lights on to start the motor and is stock in parking position can anyone help me with it.

Try pulling the steering all the way one way or the other while gently turning the key. If that doesn't do it, try rocking the steering gently one way and the other while gently turning the key.

I recall reading posts about ignition switches where the rivets holding the together
letting go ... been a good while ... but as I recall the backs with contacts drop.
Check under the switch below top triple tree.
