The three yellow wires (again)...

Hi Guys. A new to me 85 Aspencade has had the "yellow wire" plug eliminated. Is it normal for these wires to get warm right after start-up? Bike wants to die abruptly when it feels like it and trying to trace why. Dog bone replaced with 30 amp blade. Starts right up and I did the wire wiggle when running and nothing will cause it to stop running. Anything common to these to cause it? Stepping up from my 83 that I put 100,000 miles on and not familiar with this one yet. Thank you for any help thrown my way.

There would be a lot of current running through them on start up and shortly after, but I would possibly check them by (presuming they have been soldered together) removing the heat shrink and checking for a good connection or any corrosion and fix as necessary.

The 3 yellow wires are for the charging system, have nothing to do with the running except keeping the battery charged. The pulse generator connections have a tendency to get loose which would cause it to die abruptly, bad PGs, bad kill switch, or lots of other reasons, but not the stator wires.

The bike wanting to stop - as mentioned could be many reasons - maybe fuel delivery, or lack of air, lack of spark...
