L E D lights in marker and brakes.
Replaced the marker/brake lights with led's to be seen better.
Now the tail light warning on the dash lights up.
I know you have to use a resistor for turn signals, do I have to install one for my tail lights also?
If so what one and where?
My bike is a 1984 Aspencade.
Thanks for any and all help.
Danny

most parts stores who sell led bulbs also sell load simulators
you will need one for every led you install to make the tell tale
light on the dash go out, I have led bulbs in my 86 sei and I had
to use 4 of them one on each turn signal bulb to make the self
cancel operate, I didn`t use one on the brake lights and my dash
warning light is on, but I know why and I just live with it.

I had the same problem when I installed the wig wag brake light modulator, and LEDs.
My fix was just take the brake light warning light bulb out of the dash, free and easy fix.

Re: L E D lights in marker and brakes.
I ordered mine thru Amazon
Makergroup 1157 BAY15D LED Light... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B074RYY38P/?tag=goldwingdocs-20
They worked perfectly, as the trunk on the aspencade Now lights up evenly, like it should. The LEDs are nice and bright even in direct sunlight.
I've also changed out the front side reflectors with one's the light up with LEDs, so now they light up are a marker lights, and also flash with the turn signals. This adds added visibility and safety.
If you look at the start of the video you can see the side marker light, also the front turn signals use the LEDs I got from Amazon. Another thing I did I added a switchback LEDs and installed them in the housings next to the headlight. So they light up white, and when the turn signal is used it flashes yellow, which you can kinda see in the video as well.
I've also done the headlight with an LED.

I don't have lights to use those bulbs in. I have the stock 1200 fairing amber reflectors .like to put lights in place of them.

I'm not understanding what you mean, the LED bulbs I got at Amazon, are a replacement for the 1157 bulb, that Honda used in the tail/brake lights and the front turn signals. You just remove the old bulbs, and install the LEDs in their place.olewingrider wrote: ↑Sat Oct 27, 2018 4:51 pm I don't have lights to use those bulbs in. I gotcha, I found a set of those on eBay, that's how I got mine, after that it's a matter of wiring them in. I wired mine into the the front turn signals here's the type I gotolewingrider wrote: ↑Sat Oct 27, 2018 8:37 pm tail lights arnt marker lights. I have a 1200 with amber reflectors on side of fairing.
