Air ride delete and parts

Rear has been done but the front dives hard when braking. What do you recommend? Also where do you guys get parts? I’m looking for OEM. I got this bike for free and want to make it look and ride better.

New set of Progressive fork springs in the front will make a huge difference. Good time to refurbish the forks and new oil.

So then just block off the air fittings?

I used straight wound springs from Sonic Springs. Call them and tell them what you’re trying to do and they can fix you up.

To block off the air holes I took the stanchions to a local welder and for $10 he tacked them shut with some stainless rod and ground them flush.

What I did ….
…. after or as I installed Progressive 11-1122 Fork Springs, I also run 15 or 20 wgt Belray fork oil. No dipping excessively. I used a metric plug or bolt with sealing washer in hole where airline is plumbed to on right leg. Legs are connected via air manifold under top triple tree, you will not need air with Progressive springs, and she'll feel better diving into turns.

The hose with banjo, I sealed shut with a bolt, nut, and washers, and zip tied it to frame out of way.

I also installed Progressive 416 series rear air / spring shocks …. and used air line adapt kit. Wife loved that.

trac system set ok?

Ok so I am totally a noob when it comes to wings. What is the trac system?
I’ve been a loyal Honda motorcycle owner for 20+ years, but I’m clueless when it comes to these bikes.

Dial at lower part of fork tube, each side, 1 is softest, 4 is stiffest to resist collapse under hard braking. Does not affect ride. Only when brakes applied, caliper activates it by torque reaction when it grabs spinning rotor.

Found it! Thanks. It was on 1. I put it on 3 and seems to ride nicely.
I just returned from a ride and she’s running hot. The fan comes on but still runs hot. I’ve got look into this now
