Has anyone stripped back their GL1200 and made a naked bike? I'm tempted!! I guess new clocks and headlamps....I'd be interested to see if you have done this? Cheers...!

yes it can be done. Search on this site as I remember a post or two about it. You can also try https://www.ngwclub.com/forum/page/Welcome

The false tank/shelter on the Interstate and Aspencade have a flare to blend into the fairing. Look at pix of the GL1000 or GL1100 and you will see they don't have this. The 1200 was intended to eliminate this "add-on" look. The GL1200 standard shelter does not have this but they are hard to find due to guys trying to go naked. You can reshape the existing shelter, modify a fuel tank from another bike or even make something from scratch since it doesn't really hold fuel.
