('85 Aspy) I was planning in taking the carbs out to clean but got as far as the front right air intake manifold thinking that bolt feels loose. It was of course stripped!!! Luckily it stripped above engine so is for all intent and purposes still doing its job. So in the absence of drilling and keying it out I am tempted to just leave well one. No leakage from there even under hard revs.
Question is, can I remove the carbs by loosening the rubber band insulator that's held on by steel clips rather than the whole manifolds?
Thanks....
Ooops...should I just leave this?

going to bump this, I owned a 1200SEi, but have no work experience on any of the models.

For $20 you can by a helicoil kit to drill and replace it. I eventually did it and it’s pretty easy. That said, I have had a few strip and have found that as long as they aren’t cross-threaded, there are a good 1/4” of unused threads below the part the acorn bolt uses. I used a slightly longer bolt to get by for a while. Use a caliper to probe its depth.
