Are they necessary,,,can't find replacements,eBay has the whole valve,any. Suggestions ?

Nevermind, just ordered the whole thing,another 50 gone,,

I had to superglue mine since 3 had come undone from the needle valve.
All they do is filter the bigger junk.
Sort of last dich filtering.
Yet gas tank corrosion has a way to get past them little filters.

Yeah anything that gets past that filter, gets caught by Honda’s last and best filter. Some call it the idle jet.

well
i baught a kit too rebuilt mine last year,
my engine ran for 1 week and i add difficulties so i decided too remoove again the intake and the carbs.

when i re-open the carb and dismantle those little BASKET filter,they ALL reacted at gazoline and were just a little oversize and felt in the bottom of the carb,by chance i kept the old OEM .

those rebuilt kit,i still have their flat red box somewhere here are piece of junk to me.
