I’ve done it with 77 carbs. Adequate but far from ideal. Vacuum on the cv slides will be greater on the 1200. In my experience it lifted them too quickly in some situations and left the motor choking for a few seconds. I reduced the size of the holes on the bottom of the slides just a little to find a sweet spot.

I would suggest for best overall performance getting 1200 carbs and manifolds.

The ports are considerably smaller on the 1200. The 1100 manifolds will bolt on but on the inside edge, the o-ring barely seals and your charge of fuel has an abrupt lip to navigate. The 1200 is wider than the 1000/1100 so the boots will not reach the full seated position on the carbs. I put mine on fully on one side and only catching partially on the other. If the rubber still good, they will seal.

You could sell your 1100 carbs or trade with someone. The 1200 carbs are much cheaper to rebuild as long as the slide rubber diaphragms are good. ( if you buy on eBay, lots sell them cheap but don’t include the slides, check fine print)

Put an ad in the for sale/ wanted section.
