GL1200 single carb

Hi all GL1200 engine, single carb conversion i can make manifolds but i have 2 questions
1, the vacume hose from the C.D.I, do i attach this to the manifold via a new port or do not attach
2, eletric choke any idea on wiring it in to a 1100 loom
carb will be a vw 34 PICT-3 Carburetor

Vacuum is needed for ignition timing. Any port below carb should work.
