leaking carburator
I am preparing my 1984 gl standard for the riding season and I noticed that gas is dripping from my front, right carburetor. Does this mean that I will have to do a total carb removal and reinstall with new gaskets? Can I just do the one that is dripping? Where do I get a gasket for this old bike? I will be looking in my manual, but I thought I would quickly shoot out a few questions because I sure appreciate the knowledge on this site. Thanks

Re: leaking carburator
You might want to plan on all the gaskets/seals. When mine started leaking, removed the rack and disassembled the carbs, almost all the rubber gaskets/seals were cracked or broken, I'm guessing either age or ethanol got them. I only had a leak on the left side between the carbs.

Riding anything is a good day!

Thanks, Yeah, I have ordered a set of gaskets and plan on doing all four. I guess a little look inside the carbs will be interesting. I just didn't want to delay riding till the parts come in.
