Where to find accessories?

Post by Jphaebig »

Hi folks,
I am a first time goldwing owner. I have just recently purchased a 1987 gl1200 aspencade. Beautiful bike and I really like it. However I am having trouble finding accessories for it. I am mainly looking for the wind deflectors for it for the sides and something for my hands. Also I am wondering if they make floorboards that fit?

The only place I buy accessories for my Goldwing is Saber Cycle in Raytown Missouri, or Andre's Motorcycle Accessories right here in Calgary. Saber Cycle has both the drivers set and passenger set of running boards in stock. They also sell the wind deflectors I think you're talking about. They attach to the sides of the fairing. Wingstuff.com sell the exact same wind deflectors too but I've had no experience buying from them so I don't know what they're like as a company. Gloves would be the easiest solution to keep your hands warm or protected so any motorcycle shop could help you with that. Dennis Kirk is another great company to check out If you need parts, accessories, clothing, helmets, riding gear, etc. I've used them for over 25 years now.

I would HIGHLY recommend that you do not use Saber Cycle, or recommend them to others. They are well-known as sellers of cheap junk accessories, and have pretty much the worst customer service of any company on the Internet of any kind. No need to take my word for it, you can read the MANY experiences of others being ripped off by Saber Cycle:

I do have a good pair of leather gloves however I tend to do a lot of early a d late season riding in Wisconsin. The addition if wind deflectors for the handle bars would help greatly with the cold winds and occasional rain.

Wow, that's totally opposite of what I would say after having several first hand dealings with them over the last 2 years. I can't speak to anyone else's personal experiences regarding sales or service but I can guarantee you this, they've always treated me like gold when I've done business with them. And furthermore the parts I've got from them have been great so far!. They fit my bike fine and do exactly what I bought them for. I've already got a $160.00 order just about finalized and ready to send into them next month. Thanks for your concern but no, I will continue to make Saber Cycle the first place I look for my GL1100 accessories.
