Beeper for turn signals

Post by buddymack »

Anybody know where I might add in a beeper / buzzer to the turn signal harness on a 84 1200 standard? I signal way early, forcing the signals to stay on until cancelled, but then forget to cancel. A beeper would help remind me!

Put a 12v piezo beeper across the two terminals of the turn signal flasher. That way it'll sound when the flasher opens (lights off) and quiet when the flasher closes (lights on). Measure voltage across the flasher to get the correct polarity. It won't sound when the turn signals aren't on, no power.
