Timing marks - a Question for the masses!

Post by TheRepoGuy »

Back at this again - found a good set of pulse generators and got them ordered today...but came upon a “duh” moment and want to see if I’m correct with what I’m seeing.

I know the pulleys have timing marks but I believe I also have one on the crank pulley; or at least it looks like it does? Can anyone confirm or toss this out? I don’t see a mark on the top of the inside of the case but I do see the mark on the pulley.

What do y’all think?

I don't recall but I can guess that a timing marker would not be a dot of paint.

Doesn't the 1200 have an inspection cap in the middle of the top of the block toward the rear like the 1100 and 1000? Has the T1 and T2 marks?
A local inventor has figured a way to turn a sausage grinder backward to manufacture pigs.

A 1200 has the same timing setup as the other 4-cyl Wings. Somebody added the paint mark when he was changing belts, probably.
